February 2019 Monthly Meeting
This month's meeting will be a visit to the Pointe-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust
on Sunday 17, February at 10.00 AM.
The Trust is located within the former Petrotrin Refinery north of San
Fernando and can be accessed from the refinery East Gate on the Sir Solomon
Hochoy Highway.
Once inside the refinery the route to the Trust is clearly marked. To
enter Members must have given their names and car licence numbers to our
President Mr Gopaul Chackan 7333153 by Thursday 14th February.
The Trust allows a walk around a small lake where a variety of wildfowl
may be seen and also a number of aquatic plants. It is an excellent opportunity
for photography so do bring your cameras.
In the past the Society introduced a number of orchids to the trees around
the lake, this is an opportunity to see how they have fared.
Members should bring a picnic lunch and lots of liquids.
There will not be a show table at this meeting.
