In January.2005 the watering schedule was reduced to once per week (thereby allowing the plants to dry out). The temperature range around this time is about 32 deg C in the day and approx.22 deg C at night with a constant Easterly breeze during the day. They were fed with a balanced formula 1Tblsp per Gallon once every 2 weeks for the months of January and February. At the end February they were fed with one application of a formula high in phosphorus.(1Tblsp / gallon) Flower spikes emerged in mid March. Thereafter the plants were watered sparingly and given a very dilute (1 tsp / gallon) balanced formula once per 3 weeks. "

The Trophy was donated and presented to Percil by Mayor of San Fernando Ian Atherly. Chief Judge Gopaul Chacan looks on.
