Cultural Tips.

We are now into a period of the year when many of the orchids we grow come into bloom. Now is also a time to inspect our plants for pests and diseases and take the necessary controls to avoid damage to plants which can hinder future growths and flowering potential. This is a time to tidy up plant containers to reduce unsightly algae growths, fungus and to water and fertilize appropriately to encourage the production of flowers
A reminder that the Spring Orchid Show is on May 12th and May 13th 2012 and you should be in a state of readiness to enter your flowering plants and win some of the prizes at the show.

The agenda for the March 2012 monthly meeting is as follows:

  • A report from the Co-Chairpersons on the South Spring Show 2011
  • Show Chairpersons of the South Spring Show 2012 will give an up-date on the show
