Flowers have pale yellow speals petals with red spotting lip or bucket has a pale yellow background with red to purple spotting which on the hypochile is so instense as to appear solid red or purple. Flowers are up to 15 cm in width.``````````````
Flowering Period:
May to November
General Description:
Plant has ridged pseudobulbs with 2 leaves, flower stems are pendent with 1 to 3 flowers. Pollination takes place when euglossine bees visit.
Habitat:
North to Central Trinidad in small shrubs or citrus trees, root ball is often colonized by stinging ants.
